Family Advocacy
A Family Advocate promotes and protects the best interest of families with children who have been abused or are at risk of abuse. Once the strengths and needs of the family are identified, your advocate will help you initiate contact with other agencies for assistance. The Family Advocate will remain in contact with the family until assistance is no longer needed.
The Family Advocate Assists with:
Identifying the needs of the child and family
Support during non-acute forensic examinations
Connects them to therapeutic and concrete services
Crime Victims Compensation program
Education on the criminal and civil processes
Court Education and support during court preparation
